A Vision for Change
Ultrapanel was founded with a clear mission, to redefine the low-rise new build housing market. Its panelised technology is engineered to enhance building performance while dramatically reducing construction time and costs. The Ultra Home project set out to prove that homes can be built at speed without compromising on quality or sustainability.
Partnering for Performance
To achieve this ambitious goal, Ultrapanel partnered with Catnic Urban, a leader in precision-engineered roofing and cladding solutions. Catnic Urban’s standing seam roofing panels were selected for the roof covering, delivering a sleek, modern aesthetic alongside exceptional sustainability credentials and rapid installation capability.
Speed Meets Sustainability
The Ultra Home aimed to demonstrate how efficiency and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. Catnic Urban’s roofing panels, seven times lighter than traditional roof tiles, feature pre-formed seams for a simple snap-lock installation. This design enables two installers to fit up to 400m² per day—helping Ultrapanel achieve its “house in a day” target.
Sustainability was equally critical. Catnic Urban panels are 100% recyclable with zero degradation in material properties, and they carry BES 6001 certification for responsible sourcing. This ensures compliance with BREEAM standards and maximizes credits under the Responsible Sourcing of Materials section. For projects seeking renewable energy integration, Catnic Urban offers SolarSeam®, a UK-manufactured solar laminate that reduces carbon impact and supports ethical practices.

Tailored Support for Seamless Delivery
Catnic Urban assigned a dedicated scheduler and sales manager to ensure smooth coordination. From producing a full bill of materials to delivering made-to-measure panels, the process was designed to eliminate on-site cutting and seaming—streamlining installation and reducing waste.
