Colorcoat Urban® (previously known as SSR2), our standing seam roof and wall cladding system, has now been rebranded to sit under the Catnic name. It’s new name is Catnic Urban.
Catnic is a brand synonymous with lintels, and a name you can trust in residential products, so bringing our Colorcoat Urban product under this umbrella means we can provide even more support and technical advice, specifically tailored for the residential market; and build on our vision for Catnic to be recognised as the benchmark in steel building products for residential construction.
Has anything changed? No it is still exactly the same product that is loved throughout the UK for creating incredibly strong and versatile roofs and walls. Catnic Urban is seven times lighter than standard roof tiles making it a great choice for new build, refurbishment or extensions.
Particularly popular with self builders, there is no limit to the variety of shapes and forms that can be achieved, all designed meticulously to help you create a stunning roof, whether you are looking to stand out from the crowd, blend seamlessly in with your surroundings or transform your existing roof into something more modern.
Supplied as a kit of made to measure parts, the system has been specifically developed to offer fast, simple, on-site installation and its long-term performance is BBA certified and is covered by Tata Steel’s Confidex® Home 25 year guarantee.
The ‘Award Winning’ system provides a showcase modern aesthetic for urban roofs. The British-made metal standing seam panels can be laid at pretty much any angle down to a minimum of 5 degrees. Standard panel widths are 514mm for houses and other low-rise buildings, with a narrower 305mm width available to suit taller structures or those exposed to high winds.
For those seeking a complete solution for their project, the system can be further complemented with a selection of colour-matched gutters, downpipes, fascia and soffits. The system will also easily accept most renewable technologies such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting units and will also happily accommodate roof lights, vent pipes and other roof accessories.
