Catnic is proud to announce a substantial achievement in its ongoing efforts to reduce its carbon footprint. Through targeted sustainability initiatives, Catnic has successfully reduced its total Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO2 emissions by nearly 70%, a significant milestone on its journey towards achieving net zero emissions.

Starting with the baseline of 1,823 tonnes of CO2 emissions, Catnic has implemented two major actions that have contributed to this remarkable reduction. Last year, the company transitioned to 100% renewable electricity resulting in an impressive 55% reduction in emissions. Building on this success, Catnic has now switched all internal transport to Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), which is set to deliver an additional 11% reduction in emissions.

As a result of these initiatives, Catnic's carbon footprint has been reduced to just over 600 tonnes, marking a pivotal step towards our long-term environmental objectives.

“Catnic’s Sustainability Commitment and reducing our impact on the environment is unwavering. “We are extremely proud of the progress we've made in reducing our CO2 emissions, and this achievement highlights our dedication to sustainable practises. However, we recognise that there is still work to be done and we won't stop until we achieve our long-term objective of being net zero.”

Catnic’s success in reducing its carbon footprint underscores the company's commitment to environmental stewardship and its proactive approach to tackling climate change. The company remains focused on identifying and implementing further measures to minimise its environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.

As Catnic continues its journey towards net zero, the company is exploring additional opportunities for reducing emissions across its operations. These efforts are not only crucial for the planet but also align with the increasing demand from customers and stakeholders for sustainable products and practises.
