The Sun Shines at Solar and Storage Live
The Tata Steel UK team joined forces with Catnic for Solar and Storage Live 2025. Solar and Storage is the UK’s largest exhibition for solar energy and battery storage. Held across three days, the exhibition showcases some of the largest businesses in the renewables sector, featuring keynote talks, panel discussions and product showcases.
The team promoted Catnic SolarSeam® and MagiZinc® - two products that have the potential to dominate the residential and utility scale market. SolarSeam, designed for the residential market, offers a sleek bonded solar roofing solution that allows developers and home owners to install their solar panels simultaneously to the roof. The aesthetically pleasing design also delivers significant build efficiencies and cost savings for developers and homeowners.
Meanwhile, MagiZinc® is a superior corrosion resistant metallic coated steel product used to manufacture cold formed steel profiles for solar mounting structures. Designed for corrosion resistance and rigorously tested for durability, MagiZinc® has the potential to be the steel of choice for solar panel frames.

The exhibition provided a platform for us to engage with a wide spectrum of customers, from infrastructure firms to distributors. The conversations over the course of the three days were instrumental in raising awareness of our product offering and our commitment to supporting the renewables sector through low-carbon steel solutions.
On day two of the exhibition Tata Steel UK's Strategic Business Development Lead, Kamal Rajput, participated in a panel discussion held by Solar Energy UK (the leading trade association for the UK’s solar industry). They discussed the UK government’s solar initiatives and reflected on the progress over the past twelve months. It was excellent to hear discussion around the importance of strengthening UK supply chains, to which Catnic SolarSeam supports through being manufactured entirely in the UK.
Events like Solar and Storage Live are catalysts for collaboration, innovation and progress. For us at Catnic Urban, it was an opportunity to showcase our products and reinforce our position at the forefront of sustainable steel solutions.
