Now in its 5th year, Catnic’s sponsorship scheme allows staff to nominate deserving groups that are close to their hearts, before 8 are chosen at random to receive a monetary donation.
The scheme is available to all Catnic staff, not just those based at the company’s headquarters in Caerphilly, allowing local projects across the UK to have the opportunity to be involved. The organisations that have been successful this year, which will be receiving their £200 donations imminently, are:
- Bedwas RFC (U14 Age Group)
- Combat Jujitsu Wales
- Wilby FC
- Cwmcarn Athletic FC
- Southcott Owls FC
- Mini Dragons Football School
- Ynyshir Baby and Toddler Group
- Caerphilly Castle Ladies and Girls FC
With many staff members involved directly in the running of the local sporting clubs and community groups selected, they are able to see first hand just how the donation can help.
Christine Wilde, Managing Director at Catnic commented: “We wanted to be able to give something back - not just to our valued staff but also to the communities important to them and their families. Every year, interest for the sponsorship scheme increases and we have now been able to donate over £10,000 to local groups, from sports teams to mother and baby activities. I look forward to finding out just how the money was used from those connected to each organisation.”
