We’re excited to be recruiting a Junior Technical Services Engineer to join our growing Technical Services team at Catnic. This role is perfect for someone with an engineering qualification who’s ready to build a long‑term career in technical support, product applications, and construction‑related engineering.
A structured 12‑month CPD development programme is included, giving you the training, mentoring, and hands‑on experience needed to progress into a fully competent Technical Services Engineer.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Technical support — Provide advice to internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
- Drawing interpretation — Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction details.
- Engineering calculations — Assist with product and application guidance.
- CAD work — Support the preparation and amendment of CAD drawings.
- Cross‑functional collaboration — Work with sales, manufacturing, design, and project teams.
- Customer technical queries — Respond professionally and efficiently to enquiries.
- Continuous improvement — Support ongoing improvements within the Technical Services function.
What We’re Looking For
- HNC/HND in Engineering, Construction, Civil or Structural Engineering, or relevant experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering or construction drawings
- Exposure to structural, civil, construction, or manufacturing environments
- CAD experience (AutoCAD or similar)
- Strong IT, communication, and organisational skills
- A proactive, enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn
